Second Annual "Users Choice Awards" Program Announced

Stamford CT, March 1, 2000 - Building on the success of the inaugural program, details about the second annual Users Choice Awards program have been announced. The awards program is a best-of-class recognition for customer management product and services, based on the judgments of the people who actually use them.
The awards are sponsored by Customer Support Management magazine and RealMarket, and will be presented at ZD Events' CRM/Support Services Conference & Expo Fall '00, October 22-26 in San Francisco, CA.
According to Customer Support Management Editor Katherine Grayson, "The response to last year’s inaugural event was tremendous, with over 200 products and services submitted. People want the definitive answer to the question, ‘Which are the most effective solutions out there?' Because of the Users Choice Awards, they’ll know which systems, software, and resources are best, based on the evaluations of actual end-users at customer relationship management organizations."
Gary Lemke, President of RealMarket, added, "given the complexity of most customer management solutions, a test environment cannot be as comprehensive as the actual user installations. With the Users Choice Awards, users are able to share how well the solutions have met expectations and helped improve customer interaction."

The product and service categories to be judged fall into five major areas:
- Customer Interaction (External) - Customer Interaction Management (for enterprise and mid-market), E-Mail Management, Field Service, Knowledge Management, Self-Service and Web Callback/Assisted.
- Customer Interaction (Internal) - Help Desk/Service Desk (for enterprise and mid-market), Infrastructure Management, and Technical Support Tools.
- Call Center - ACD, Alert & Display, Call Center Communications/CTI, Call Center Simulation/Testing, Call Monitoring, Handsets/Headsets, Speech and Voice, Unified Messaging and Workforce Management/Scheduling.
- Sales and Marketing - Configuration, Contact Management, Database Marketing/CRM Information, Marketing Automation, Online Sales Productivity, Sales Automation (enterprise and mid-market) and Web Sales and Personalization.
- Services - Hosted Customer Management Application Services (ASPs), Integration/Implementation, Outsourcing, Training.
